Keir Farra, Founder & CEO of AI Systema

In addition to holding an MBA and a Diploma in IT, the founder has completed a Machine Learning Specialization program from Stanford. He applied end-to-end machine learning and neural networks projects using Python data science and ML packages, such as predicting housing prices.

 

With five years of experience as an Actuarial Pricing Analyst at Folksam and a comparable duration in the worldwide financial markets. In contemporary times, his profound financial knowledge originated from his work as a quantitative analyst in a British financial service group based in Dubai. The ability to read and understand financial statements in the insurance industry, such as the income statement, enables the loading of financial costs like administrative expenses onto the risk premium.

 

For the majority of Folksam’s risk products, including auto, property, and SME/SMB, the founder performed statistical modeling (GLMs), such as log-linear models or P&L pricing, with respect to risk factors and key ratios. Predicting total earned premium for the upcoming fiscal year by simulating the output of the models’ parameters (Tariff). His work with SME, the most complex risk product at Folksam, involved being one of the few employees who could be counted on to handle it, which demonstrates his high level of problem-solving skills.

 

Collaborating with the actuary team, the founder developed a SAS-program for property insurance to track P&L performance in successive fiscal periods, including YoY, QoQ, and MoM to monitor the profitability continuously. He participated in the Drive Safe IoT project, which involved developing a pricing reward program based on customer behavior, specifically the driver’s actions.

 

On a daily working basis, the individual utilized SAS and SQL for data processing, Spotfire for data visualization and geo-mapping, and had the proficiency to develop portfolio dynamics dashboards using Power BI.

 

As a recent Pricing Manager in the SaaS sector with expertise in value-based pricing, who developed business-oriented analytics skills, which provided better market insights to formulate commercial strategies that helped expand the business.
